Central Bard of Excise and Customs has seized Rs 2 crore from a passenger coming from Sharjah. The incident took place on early Sunday morning at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport at Sonegaon.
Sources informed that the incident came to light while Central Board of Excise and Customs were checking the passenger’s bag and found 700 gold biscuits. The seized gold is suspected to be worth Rs 2.10 crore.
Till late night, SOnegaon police didn’t reveal the name of the passenger.
