Nagpur: A rickshaw puller was killed in an accident when a recklessly driven unidentified vehicle hit the rickshaw on Wednesday night. Ajni police have registered the case.
The deceased has been identified as Avinash Manikrao Kale (53), a resident of Plot No. 3, Joshi Wadi. According to information, Avinash was pulling his rickshaw on Wednesday around 8 pm near Wanjari Nagar, in front of Varma Country Liquor Bhatti when an unidentified vehicle hit Avinash from behind and left him in a pool of blood. Passersby rushed Avinash to Government Medical College and Hospital and informed Ajni Police. However, Avinash succumbed to the injuries around 12.15 am on Thursday.
Cops have registered an offence under Sections 279, 337, 338, and 304 (a) of the IPC read with sub sections 134 and 177 of Motor Vehicle Act.
