Nagpur News: A fiery fallout of Shiv Sena leader Aarti Borkar’s murder was reported in Nagpur. Some unidentified persons tried to torch house of one of the alleged masterminds of murder. The incident occurred at about 3 pm on Saturday (August) bare some hours after the ghastly killing. The unidentified persons soaked a large piece of jute bag in kerosene oil and hurled it as burning missile on Kesarwani’s house located at Raut Sqaure, Lalganj. The intention of the unidentified persons was aimed at setting Kesarwani’s house ablaze.
Pachpaoli PSI Dorlikar, on the basis of a complaint lodged by Kesarvani, has registered an offence against the unidentified persons under Sections 436, 511 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
It may be recalled, the husband of Aarti Borkar, in his police complaint after the murder, had named Kesarvani and Ravi Khante as masterminds on whose behalf the assailants eliminated Aarti. The murder was later emerged as contract killing. Aarti Anil Borkar, a resident of Raut Square, Nagpur, had launched agitations against a Kerosene Depot (Fair Price Shop) owned by Ravi Khante and other Fair Price Shop, owned by Kesarwani for black-marketing and hoarding of the stuff. Subsequent to the agitation by Aarti, both the Shops were closed down. Since then the rivalry had started brewing between Aarti and both Khante and Kesarwani. On Friday (August 1), Aarti and her husband Anil were ferociously attacked by the accused Akash Dorkhande and his two accomplices killing Aarti on the spot and injuring Anil seriously with sharp-edged weapons.
Later, in his complaint to Pachpaoli police, Anil had named Narendra Kesarwani, Surendra Kesarwani, Sonu Kesarwani and Ravi Khante as masterminds on whose behalf the accused assailants eliminated Aarti.
