Borgaon residents felicitate Rajendra Mulak over his assurance to save their houses

State Minister of Energy and Finance Rajendra Mulak has earned the gratitude of hordes of residents from various housing societies in Borgaon on Katol here, following an assurance that they would not be affected by NIT proposed 18 meter road that passes through these residential localities. Parts of these societies were falling into the plan which could have led to the part or full demolition of many households there. As a token of gratitude, the plot owners of the housing societies felicitated Mulak.

The societies falling under the periphery of the plan include Welcome Co-operative Housing Society, Akhil Vishwa Bharti Housing Society, Netaji Apartment Housing Society and Netaji Co-operative Housing Society on Katol road.

Nagpur Improvement Trust had sanctioned an 18 meter road plan at Mouja Borgaon, Katol Road in West Nagpur. However the sanctioned plan was affecting around 150 residents from the area. The aggrieved residents which constitute the members of Welcome Co-operative Housing Society, Akhil Vishwa Bharti Housing Society, Netaji Apartment Housing Society, Netaji Co-operative Housing Society had met Rajendra Mulak and requested him for intervention into the matter.

Taking cognizance of matter, Mulak called a meeting of NIT officials and affected housing society member and directed the officials not to raze any house coming under the 18 meter road plan. Later, the Minister assured the residents of no action against their houses. Former corporator Harish Gwalbanshi, Prem Gwalbanshi, Nanadrao Dharapal, Bhimrao Meshram, Abhay Wairagade, Ghanshyam Mange, J M Dange represented the plot owner in the meeting while NIT Chairman Pravin Darade, NIT Chief Engineer Sunil Gujjalwar were present prominently.
