Sanjay sold illegal liquor in Awandi village and the same was the reason behind disagreement between the friends. However, they decided to meet up and resolve the issue. But, the matter couldn’t be resolved.
On Wednesday, Nilesh again met Sanjay, Sudhir and Nana and they together consumed liquor. While they were consuming liquor, the topic of their quarrel propped up and heated exchanged between the friends. However, it turned fatal when Sanjay, Sudhir and Nana cornered Nilesh, and stabbed him several time with a sharp-edged weapon. Nilesh was thus, killed on the spot.
Niilesh’s wife Sunita lodged a complaint with Kamptee police after which they rushed to the spot. Cops performed panchanama and the body was sent to Government Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Cops started their investigations and on the basis of the complaint by Sunita, they arrested Nana Gechode. Though the two others managed to escape the spot, cops have launched a massive manhunt to arrest Sanjay and Sudhir.

However, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Dr Aarti Singh has ordered all the zonal officers to curb the illegal selling of liquor in the area.
