Nagpur: A recent information about Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital (IGGMCH) and its misconduct towards senior citizens have put the hospital again in question. A source has informed that that in the past five days three senior citizens were thrown out of the hospital without completing their treatment. The elderly patients were thrown out with the help of some anti-social elements.

According to information, a native of Ranchi, Jharkhand 75-year-old Ramdev Singh was admitted to IGGMCH a week ago by his son Manoj Singh. Manoj is a police inspector with Ranchi police while his younger son is an engineer at Mumbai. Manoj admitted Ramdev Singh and left his father in the hospital unattended. Hospital authorities, however, threw Ramdev Singh out  of the hospital with the help of some anti-social elements in context that there was no one to take care of Ramdev Singh.

The anti-social elements dropped Ramdev Singh in an isolated area behind Bus Stand at Cotton Market. Some social worker noticed the sick Ramdev Singh and later admitted him to the hospital.

The incidence has again put the hospital admiration in question about its conduct towards the senior citizens and it would be interesting to learn the action taken by hospital administration against the anti-social elements active in the hospital premises.
