Nagpur: A middle-aged woman was robbed of cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 85,000 while travelling in Ganeshpeth area on Tuesdsay afternoon.
A native of Panchsheel Ward, Sakoli, District Bhandara, Meerabai Bhojraj Gajapure (50), had come to Nagpur. On Tuesday around 3.15 pm, Meerabai boarded an auto at Panchvati, Motha Tajbagh, for going to Ganeshpeth Bus Stand. After reaching the Bus Stand, Meerabai checked her handbag and found her cash Rs 3575 and gold ornaments worth Rs 82,000 missing. A miscreant travelling in the auto along with Meerabai burgled her booty.
Ganeshpeth police constable Devendra registered an offence under Section 379 of the IPC and searching for the burglar.
